(Top to Bottom: Anni from Style Hurricane's design $35, Aldo $10.00, Forever21 $3.80, Snake Earcuffs $22.50)
I finally got my ears pierced! So me and the twin are planning on buying matching snake earcuffs, and maybe feathers for me, hohoho.

Thrift Thrifty #2
Here are those Karl Lagerfield glasses I bought back at the thrift shop the other day. They're actually really large; I could never wear them because they're actual prescription, but someday I will pop those lenses right out and begin my initiation into hipster-dom.
They were $1.50 because I had a volunteers discount + extra 50% off the entire store + they have no brand-ladies pricing these things.
HURHUR for first dibs.

Thrifty Thrifty
The picture quality is horrible, je suis desole. But on the plus side, I have a new laptop with a webcam from which I took this picture! Last week was extra 50% off week at YSI Thrift & Gift, and I got a pretty new Dooney and Burke bag for $10 because I also have an extra 20% off volunteer's discount~ But anyway, it's sort of pretty and old, and I got to pick this thing up myself out of the pretty case it was resting in. DO I QUESTION IT'S AUTHENTICITY!? A bit; but it's not one of those extremely copied brands like Coach or Louis Vuitton. I will remain oblivious, mm hmm.

Lately I've been volunteer working at the YSI Thrift and Gift for volunteer hours and retail experience. I get a 20% discount, yeah! And today is the last day of their extra 50% off all clothes and shoes week.
I was on the search for these pair of shoes I was going to buy, and my brain was lead astray to those relatively new Jeffrey Campbells and my fingers decided to begin typing on my keyboard in a cross-internet search for them. Instead, I was lead to Jeffrey Campbell's website (of course) and his SS/2011 lookbook. I didn't find the ones I was looking for, but these are pretty too. Chunky shoes <3
But yes, I like that hemp hem at the bottom of the shoe. What do you call that? What is this.. POW! Right in the face.

Ma Vie, enfin
I haven't posted in forever! Sorry, to whoever reads my little posts.
I wanted to make a personal post, but I didn't want all those folks at school seeing it, and this website is like a ghost town with those tumbleweeds that roll roll around on Scooby Doo.
This pretty little chandelier on Instructables is made out of a Tumbleweed. Useful little things.
Today I made myself feel bubbly by injecting thoughts into my brain about, you know, what do us filles think about? I was skipping down halls! But I made sure no one saw though, 'course. Je suis trop pathetique.
(QU'EST-CE QUE TU PENSE, QUE APRES TOUT CES ANNEES, IL VA ENFIN AIMER TOI? NON CE N'EST PAS POSSIBLE)
You're a little loser for even posting about this. And stop being a smeagle!
I miss that movie.
And I admit I listen to asian music, ooh, such a naughty little fille.

Fall
Topshop's Lookbook for fall! When I stare at it, I get flashes (LIGHTNING!) of inspiration, but I can't ever do it, youknowwhatImean? I will remember! :
The layering is boo-tiful, especially the brown leather accents (knee pads, elbow pads). If you've seen H&M's commercials (MINDBLOWN! When I first saw it- did H&M make commercials before?) ma soeur et moi, we share the $14.95 men's cardigan with the elbow pads (suede, not leather, unfortunately). So les garcons.. if you ever get cold.. you know who to talk to~
And I like the cut and paste thing going on, with the mismatched sleeves - like knit sleeves with a leather vest. The warm colors make me want to drink hot chocolate!
Anyway, if any y'all were reading this blog for personal tasty tidbits..
Je suis un materialistic personne mal, non? The perils of fashion and the way it makes you seem like a stuck up ladybug. I assure you.. je ne suis pas ca! (I am not that!)
Do ya'll know how it feels to supposedly look like someone but feel like so much less than that certain personne qui you are supposed to look like? If you are part of the 3.2 percent of the world who has a twin, you do!
La Jumelle: That's exactly how I feel!
Moi: That's exactly how I feel!

Buggies
A whole bunch of bug things have popped out, including Sea of Shoe's new bug jewelry line, made out of real tootin' beetles. I sort of like them now too! Here's some bug charms from ornamentea.com, who specializes in charms and jewelry; each bug is pretty inexpensive, from $2-5.
My dad recently bought a bug zapper, shaped like a tennis racquet.
Dad: "It's electrified for super-powered badminton playing!"
Auntie: " Really!? Well then, why'd you just buy one?"

Quoi?
(Made by Style Hurricane, $25-35)
I haven't been posting as of late because I've been so darn tootin' busy with school (what was I thinking when I signed up for WHAP and leadership!?) but I must be busy all the time or else my mind will wander off to some other place. Can't have that happening.Yesterday I went shopping and bought a bunch of random things, like a black pencil skirt thing and a pink cardigan, which I will probably end up returning (does anyone else do this?). But, it was the first time the twin and I could run free like willy (who actually swam!) around the mall all by ourselves. So proud (': I also bought that H&M tiger cropped shirt.
I realized I can't buy everything I want, because my pockets are empty, so I need to resort to making a second rate version of them. So sad. I need to somehow create an ear cuff, and then an A-line skirt!

Buys
Now, before you read this, Malaysia is a place with lots of non-pretty clothes, and so when you see an okay thing, you think it's awesome! This probably happened to me (with a case of bon marche)
1)Blazer: 20 RM = $6
I was pretty iffy about this buy; I just thought I needed a blazer as an essential! The price was nice too - YOU SHOULDN'T BUY THINGS FOR THE PRICE FRANCES
2)Outerwear: 25 RM = $8
I thought the gold lining stuff was pretty pretty... but I felt like I bought way too much black!
3)Quilted Red Shoulder Bag: 10 RM = $3.20
It looks sort of like Chanel (I'm pretty sure those fake designer good makers where trying to sell it off as Chanel) but I bought it because I needed some color after all that black... and it was also inexpensive.
4)Zipper Dress: 50 RM = $16
Mom offered to buy this for me, so I thought why not? It's pretty, I feel so girly.
5) Gigantic Flowy Pink Thing: 25 RM = $8
I thought the flowy-ness was very pretty; I also like how it gets longer in the back. It also comes with a pretty lacy under-tanktop, that I was to lazy to put in the picture. I got it stained with some paint... but I'm hoping it's unnoticeable after I drenched it out.
6) Lace Tunic: 30 RM = $10
I have such a weakness for lacey, pretty things..
7) Polka-dotted Highwaisted Zippered Shorts: 15 RM = $5
They were pretty! And polka-dotted... I liked them.
8) Satchel: 25 RM = $8
I bought this at a pretty store filled with 25 RM things; I needed a new bag to replace my other brown one that said "Genuine Leather" on it... which was tacky! So I bought this one.
9) Sheer Thing: 50 RM = $16
I first saw this, and liked it so much! But I didn't buy it at first... because I thought it was expensive! But I kept thinking about it, and, when I think about something for a long time, I have to buy it! This was probably one of my favorites.
I bought some shoes and denim short-shorts too (8 RM!), but I'll put that up some other time.
I have such a bad soft spot for all 8th/9th grade-esque pretty things...
Nonetheless, I felt like I should be really bad-butt in Malaysia! And I started wanting to be Asian-hipster (LIKE I DO EVERY YEAR I GO BACK) but I contained myself, and only wore some ripped up jeans. And a black hat, which as it turns out, no one wears hats in 98 degree weather!

Lollapalooza 2010
(images via luckymag, refinery29, style.com)
I'm finally back in America, and one of the first things that pops on my screen is Lollapalooza, and here are a few collected from the world wide web. I like the top layer because it's colorful; I've been such a stickler for colorful lately..
Go-asian-colorful-street-hipsters.. you have been PERMANENTLY IMPRINTED IN MY BRAIN! It's pretty refreshing though, like the rootbeer I will have very, very soon.

Kuro the Cat
I've never showed you folks my number one fan! This is Kuro, he's so dreamy~ Since cats are all the rage now, my cat is completely IN!

Hanneli Mustaparta's pictures are extremely pretty, comme ce photograph! They look sort of raw and effortless, which I like, and beautiful at the same time. I love her outfit too, of course! I'm searching tout le monde (all the world) pour the parfait (perfect) pair of khakis.. short or not.
My take:
Blue mascara. Oui, je ne sais pas ou j'ai allé avec ça. (Yes, I don't know where I was going with that...)
By the way, copycats here in Malaysia have gone as far as to market fake M.A.C cosmetics. Well, mascara is $30. And when all people can see is your face, (burkas) wouldn't you want to be the prettiest pair of eyes anyone yonder did ever see?

Youth in Revolt
Recently I watch Youth in Revolt starring Michael Cera (le favourite de ma soeur!), and in it, he plays a goody-goody Nick Twisp, who invents an alter persona, the french bad-but boy named Francois Dillinger to impress a lady friend. (excuse the horrible picture making.) I wish this picture would show you his feet! Because I liked his ankle length pants and dapper shoes. I especially liked his last outfit, a blazer, khakis, and a red tie. BUT YOU SHOULD SEE HIS FEET! Here's moi going on about boy's clothes, when I really should be going on about girl's clothes, non?

We're not in Kansas anymore!
The day before yesterday, the family headed out to a Thai dinner, which the idea of je n'ai pas aimé (I did not like) at first! But then they informed us it was a themed restaurant. It was pretty! My sister and I played on the slide thing, it was fun. But it's hard climbing things in heels, you know? The food was bon and karaoke blared from the room downstairs. We sat on the upper deck, where I played bait to mosquitos. The zapper was going off every second! And now I have 17 mosquito bites. SEVENTEEN! So all you foreigners, opt for the air conditioned room downstairs instead.

Jimmy Choo Pre Fall 2010
(VIA Jimmy Choo)
In honor of my trip to Malaysia tonight, I decided to do a piece on a fellow who hails from there, Mr. Jimmy Choo! Here is his Pre Fall '10 collection, and I chose his chunkier pieces; I'm not too fond of sharp-enough-to-stab-you stilettos. I especially like the glittery wedge second from the left. It can't stab you, but it sure can stomp you to death.
My posts will be shooting through cyber space from all the way in Malaysia soon, folks. Right after I get over the nasty 23 hour trip.
