The thrift shop that I "work" (volunteer for discounts and free donutsssss) at has these really nice 50% everything and clothing sales once in a while, and I take advantage of them fully~ I found the granny boots there, except the brown one which was purchased from a local Goodwill. The red top I will wear while I bike around in my flat-tired bike which I will attach a basket to, me and the cat are going to go on adventures
in my red tie top.

And the white feather earring I made for my shop that I handle with my sister called Shangrilala, in caase y'all didn't know, Shangrila is a place in China/Nepal that is a "place away from earth" and we added the -la for more effect.

Recent Buy + DIY

So recently I bought this jeweled bottle necklace from Forever 21, I don't know what I'd wear with it but it sho looks cute~ Also, I bought some jersey cloth from the thrift store I work at, and fashioned this pencil skirt in a jiffy. The belt came with a maxi skirt I recently bought, but I'm thinking it could be easily made with some cord and tassels. Boy is my dad going to be mad now that I can make my own short skirts myself

 So I haven't been posting a much, but I have been DIYing alot! I guess someday I'll have to upload a tutorial or something..who reads this anyway!? Me and the sis started a facebook closet/tumblr store, where we sell the things we alter, etc. so I've been researching DIY ideas every afternoon and mom has been complaining I don't spend enough time on SATS, she told me asians always get 800 on math.

Petro Zillia x Forever21

Here's some pictures from Petro Zillia for Forever21! I get kind of excited when it comes to designer collaborations with "affordable clothing companies". I think that the prints and solid block colours are somewhat cute, but mostly I just like the rainbow kneepad knee highs there & the heart pocketed cardigan. So these are Alexander McQueen Spring 2011 clutches, don't they look so bad butt!? I don't know, but bad-butt-esque things are so much more appealing now, probably because I'm so girly all the time. Look at the brass knuckle clutch, so cool~ Which is sort of ironic, because I was just talking about those recently..

I also got two snake rings. Snakes are so cool too~ There should be other words to convey a sense of coolness, but "cool" seems just right.

This is one of them, it's a triple loop ring. The eyes are turquoise, but it doesn't really show up in these poop-quality webcam picture. My mom took out digital camera on her trip to godknowswheresheis (probably Malaysia or Tibet or Istanbul, that lucky butt), and I'm too lazy to operate an SLR.

Thrift Thrifty #2

Here are those Karl Lagerfield glasses I bought back at the thrift shop the other day. They're actually really large; I could never wear them because they're actual prescription, but someday I will pop those lenses right out and begin my initiation into hipster-dom.

They were $1.50 because I had a volunteers discount + extra 50% off the entire store + they have no brand-ladies pricing these things.

Svpply

I have finally discovered how to make screenshots YES so I can make screenshots of my awesome maplestory skills of the five years past. I have been utilizing this newfound skill of mine fully.
Anyway, here is a fantastical new website called Svpply, which I discovered while trolling Pascal Grob's fashion blog. It's essentially a website for gathering all the goodies you find on the internet in one place; no more annoying bookmarks and folder making for seperate websites (something I do very often). And you can make it public pour tout la famille (for all the family) to see. It is Christmas coming up, you know. Which I will not have time for because of Finals.

Thrifty Thrifty

The picture quality is horrible, je suis desole. But on the plus side, I have a new laptop with a webcam from which I took this picture! Last week was extra 50% off week at YSI Thrift & Gift, and I got a pretty new Dooney and Burke bag for $10 because I also have an extra 20% off volunteer's discount~ But anyway, it's sort of pretty and old, and I got to pick this thing up myself out of the pretty case it was resting in. DO I QUESTION IT'S AUTHENTICITY!? A bit; but it's not one of those extremely copied brands like Coach or Louis Vuitton. I will remain oblivious, mm hmm.

Lately I've been volunteer working at the YSI Thrift and Gift for volunteer hours and retail experience. I get a 20% discount, yeah! And today is the last day of their extra 50% off all clothes and shoes week.

I was on the search for these pair of shoes I was going to buy, and my brain was lead astray to those relatively new Jeffrey Campbells and my fingers decided to begin typing on my keyboard in a cross-internet search for them. Instead, I was lead to Jeffrey Campbell's website (of course) and his SS/2011 lookbook. I didn't find the ones I was looking for, but these are pretty too.  Chunky shoes <3

But yes, I like that hemp hem at the bottom of the shoe. What do you call that? What is this.. POW! Right in the face.
